SVG is vector, at 10 mm per tile width. PNG is 2× the on-screen size, minimum 2000 px wide.
How this works
Pick a tile on the left. Every cell in the grid uses that one tile, only rotated.
Each line tile starts and ends at fixed points on its edges (midpoints or corners), so lines always meet their neighbours in any rotation. No line is ever broken.
Fill tiles (Truchet triangles, Two-tone arcs) make solid shapes. Two-tone arcs picks black or white per tile automatically so the colours always line up. For fill tiles, the slider sets a grout gap around each tile's shapes instead of a line weight.
Arcs + crossings has three states: two arc rotations and a crossing. Hex Truchet uses a hexagon grid and rotates in 60° steps.
Set the columns and rows, pick a starting layout and press Generate pattern. Random uses a seed, so the same seed gives the same pattern again.
Click a tile to rotate it. Press and drag to paint that same rotation across other tiles. Undo with Ctrl+Z, redo with Ctrl+Shift+Z.
Hover a line to trace where it goes. Closed loops never touch the edge; open lines run off the grid.
Keyboard: focus the grid, move with the arrow keys and press Enter or Space to rotate.
